The wines of Villa Vinèa are the result of a unique microclimate, the sap of an extraordinary land, located on the valley of the Tarnava Mica river, one of the oldest wine regions of Transylvania.
Lover of nature and traditions, the owner has done everything to preserve the authenticity of the place. The tower, characteristic of the region of medieval Transylvania, watches over the beautiful hills planted with different grape varieties, over the villages nestled in the valley and the river meandering at the foot of the vineyard. The grapes slide by gravitation in the vats to start their fermentation. The temperature in the underground gravity cellar is stable, which balances and respects wines in the making and reduces energy consumption.
It is a place of particular charm, just as impressive as the wines created here which have received the Protected designation of origin “Tarnave”. Villa Vinèa cultivates indigenous grape varieties (Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala, Feteasca Neagra) as well as several international grape varieties.
